Traditional Lakeland Sports

A one day event of Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling, fell racing, hound trails, cycling and more. Ambleside Sports - Traditional Lakeland Sports willl be held at Rydal Park on Thursday 26th July 2007. Its a fun day for all the family no matter what the weather.

Unrivalled Cruising

Steam yacht Gondola is capable of carrying up to 86 passengers as it gently glides on Coniston Water. The perfect way to see the beauty of the Lakes. Luxuriate in opulent surroundings as this sumptious, rebuilt Victorian steam powered yacht glides from pier to pier.

Esthwaite Water

Esthwaite Water
Extending across 280 acres, Esthwaite Water is a perfect place for that afternoon ramble. Its a short walk from The Croft to this natural lake with superb views all round. It is also renowned for its fishing and is the largest stocked lake in the North West. Esthwaite Water Trout Fishery is a first class fishery with excellent facilities for those that enjoy a good days fishing. The Fishery is open 7 days a week between 9am and 6pm all year round.
